The ancient Morrish quarter of the city, the Albaicin was home to Granadas second castle, remmenants of old city walls and arabic baths can be explored, through thousand year old streets. Its possible to enter some of the ancient Nasarid mansions, huge gardens or 'carmens' that hide behind the white jasmine covered walls. The albayzin offers the best views of the Alhmbra and the Sierra Nevadas from many miradors. The most famous is from San Nicholas, but there are better views of the city from the Albaicin. €The church of San Miguel de Alto is on top of the hill above the caves, the highest view of the city.
